Join the MSUM Office of Student Activities and Honors College, in partnership with Folkways, for a free screening of Join or Die, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with the film’s directors, Rebecca and Pete Davis, and representatives from Folkways.
Free and open to the public.
Join or Die explores the importance of civic engagement and what it takes to strengthen the communities where we live, work, and learn. The film is currently part of an international community screening tour, bringing people together to spark conversations about rejuvenating civic life.
Following the screening, Rebecca and Pete Davis will join representatives from Folkways for a panel discussion and Q&A from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Folkways will share examples of local placemaking efforts and discuss how creating meaningful places and shared experiences can help strengthen community connection and civic life.
